Lesley Jackson is an artist making objects that are simultaneously functional and poetic. Her work seeks to create cathartic relationships between people and the things they own.
With a focus on containers and display systems, she creates intentional and celebratory spaces for everyday objects. From toothbrushes to thrift-store vases, we are invited to psychologically transform our relationship to
inanimate things, turning our "stuff" into gifts from the Earth. Furniture is seen as a stage for an event, creating space and time for moving experiences between people and their things.
