Lesley Jackson is an artist and designer that makes objects that are both functional and poetic.

Her work seeks to reconcile our casual relationship to material culture by framing, containing, and creating special events around everyday objects. By repurposing found materials, designing around fragments of nature, and creating altar-like spaces for mundane things, we are invited to psychologically transform our relationship to everyday objects, turning our "stuff" into gifts from the Earth.

The collection embraces both Modernist efficiency and

Baroque drama, providing a place to put our things while simultaneously moving us throughout the day. Furniture is seen

as a stage for an event, carving out space and time for special

experiences between people and their things.
